Trin goes to Rupert

So Triniti Came to southern Idaho to go camping with my family this summer and things came up so it took us a while to be able to go so we hung out around town for a few days.
I showed her around town first we went to The upper crust for lunch.Then we went on the hunt for an antique store but for some reason they were all closed so we took a picture in front of the hitchin post.
Since there were no antique stores open we settled for the Minidoka Museum.
Where Triniti drove a stationary train with Juan.
She knocked on outhouses.
Made a phone call :P
We stopped by the first Church ....
to pray :)
Then Triniti was naughty so she got sent to the first jail.
And she finally got her chance in the outhouse.
I haven't been to the Museum since I was in grade school but it was a lot more fun this time.
Then we prepared for camping. And yes my mom taught Triniti to cook! She made and excellent strata that we ate for breakfast while up camping. I couldn't find the exact recipe but it was close to this.
When we finally did make it up camping we went to a kinda crappy spot because there was a sick family member at home and we had to have cell reception. But we did do some fun things.

After a long weekend of camping Triniti and I had to head back so I could get to Moscow and she could head back to Montana. We had to have a group picture with my mom at the table where we played monopoly cards several times during the trip.
It was a lot of fun I hope she can come back again and we can go camping at a nicer spot.

Massive Blog post time!!!

Ok So I am really bad because I have been meaning to post a bunch of blogs and never have time so here I go. First we are going to start with My visit to Montana! I went to visit Triniti on spring break last year. So here is what we did. I had a post about this a while back but I jsut got more pictures so here is some more.
Triniti and I started out by doing what we do best: Eating!
This is at Jade Palace where she works and we got a ton of food for the 2 of us.


We went to Hobby Lobby and met Chelsey there.
Triniti was in a rock climbing class and they said I could come along for repelling day :) this was one of the most terrifying and fun things ever.

It was so much fun I can't wait till next time I go visit her!

Fair and the rest of Rupert

So when we got back from camping my mom, brother and I went to a play at the Oakley Valley arts center.
But then we had to start on the real reason I was down there. The Rupert fair! Kody and his cow Suzy were at the fair all week.

This Next picture is of my mom loving on the calf. She was a very sweet cow.
One of the last nights I was there my mom made a big dinner. Shaunna came over and it was great to see her. We decided to make fried green tomatoes!

While dinner was being made I went out to the living room because I had hurt my ankle earlier that day and when I got out there Kiarra my kitty was relaxing on the couch and I found it so funny that I had to put a picture up.

Camping

So when I got back from Arizona I headed to Rupert to be with my family for a week. The day i got down there my family had planned on going camping. Jordan and Mykah came over and were going camping with us. We decided to take Keanu our dog camping with us so we took him to give him a bath and comb him out so that he was clean enough to put in the car.
So here is Keanu with Jordan and Mykah.
When we got up camping there was a creek running through our camp site so the first thing we did was play in it to cool off. Here is Kody and the girls sitting on the bank of the creek.
The girls and IThere were dragonfly everywhere. When we got out of the water the dragonfly landed on us so here is one sitting on my hand.

We had the usual things a huge fire.
Fishing
and since it was hot we took our chairs and put them in the creek to be cool.
After all of it I was very tired and of course I can't sleep without my kitties sleeping on top of me.

Arizona

In July I went to Arizona with a friend Pat to help move him down there. It took us 2 days starting from Boise to get to Sierra Vista. On the drive we saw a Glen canyon Dam here is a few pictures.

This next one is standing on the bridge that goes over the dam.
When we got to Sierra Vista we went to the military base to get Pat checked in and while there we saw a road runner! He was a lot smaller than I thought they would be but then I found out this one is a baby.
This next pictures is Pats apartment and a HUGE cactus.
And this next one is of these really pretty flowers that were all over.
We got down there, got Pat an apartment and shopped for everything he needed in a few days then I flew back to Boise and got picked up by my friend and went down to Rupert to help my little brother with fair so I will post that later.

The coffee table!

When I moved into this apartment the people moving out left their coffee table for me. Well I thought it was ugly and scratched I really didn't like the color either so I decided to fix it.
This is the coffee table originally. It was very scratched and the finish was coming off.
So by hand I sanded it. This took forever because of the different way the grains of the wood go.

And finally how it looks now!
I love the way it looks now. I think it makes the living room look much better.

Chars New home pt2

Finally here is the picture of his new home all moved in. We still have a bit of work to do and we need a few more things to put in it but he is happy now to have plenty of space.

Chars New Home

I've have had Char for 3 months now and he is starting to be a big boy. He is now a foot and a few inches long. This presented a problem because when I first got him he was so tiny that the 10 gallon tank I had him in was fine but as he has been growing its too small. He started to escape. Mainly just to the top of the cage where he would hang out or he would run across the living room to me when I was out there but he decided one day to escape when nobody was home. It took 2 days and a lot of searching but finally found him under my crocheting bag. Decided he needed a new home because he had outgrown his.

Went out and bought sheets of glass, caulk, screen, framing and all other sorts of things and made him a new home.
This is the glass after we cut it and taped it together to hold it till the caulk had dried.

Gardening

So I have been trying to do this post for a while now but for some reason I couldn't get the pictures to work so here goes. Out at the Blevins house they have their gardens planted and they offered to let me have a little plot of land to have my own little garden.
So here it is the little plot in the back with the mail box is mine before it was planted.

When I first got to it there were TONS of weeds so after a long days work I pulled them all. This is said pile of weeds :PThe next weekend I planted a few things. We went to the Moscow farmers market and bought tomatoes and cucumbers, basil, and squash so here is my little garden planted. There are very pretty sunflowers growing behind it.Me all dirty from the days work.And my fantastic sunburn. I had sunscreen on but not well enough. You can see my hand prints from where I was trying to get my neck.On the way home I took a few pictures of the drive from Deary to Moscow. Here is the Deary library.And this is a Canola field. I think they are so pretty.
This is the flower up close. They are used to make canola oil if you hadn't already guessed :PThat concludes my little gardening adventure for the time being.
