Old Email

So I found this old email and it made me laugh so I thought I would share it.

1.If you are choking on an ice cube, don't panic. Simply pour a cup of boiling water down your throat and presto! The blockage will be almost instantly removed.

2.Clumsy? Avoid cutting yourself while slicing vegetables by getting someone else to hold them while you chop away. (p.s. anyone want to volunteer for this one I am always afraid of cutting myself lol)

3.High blood pressure sufferers: simply cut yourself and bleed for a while, thus reducing the pressure in your veins.

4.A mouse trap placed on top of your alarm clock will prevent you from rolling over and going back to sleep when you hit the snooze button.

5.If you have a bad cough, take a large dose of laxatives, then you will be afraid to cough.

6.Have a bad tooth ache? Hit your thumb with a hammer, then you will forget about the tooth ache.

7.You need only two tools: WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and it shouldn't, use the duct tape.

8.Everyone seems normal until you get to know them.

These gave me a giggle. I hope you enjoy :)

I do what I want!

SO I get a lot of crap about the way I dress pretty much constantly because apparently I dress like an old lady (You all shush grandma sweaters are warm and comfy!)

I am actually not as bad a dresser as everyone likes to think I just dress in what I can afford and what I feel comfortable in so that being said here are a few of the things that I would love to own and might someday when I have monies to pay for the :)

Pretty

Love the green!

Very Elegant

An every day outfit!

As you may have gathered I apparently like lace and things I can layer. Pair any of these up with jeans and I would be good to go! Also in the Vintage Loves section the Prima Ballerina collection I <3!

And finally I love this Vintage hat I use to have one like it and someone took it away because it made me look like an old lady but I don't care I like my style!

Number 4!

So for my 25 things while I'm 25 number four was to sew something so here is my project!

I lost my apron somewhere and I hate cleaning without it because I have accidentally bleached clothes etc. so I got some cloth and am making my own. I am making one for cleaning and one for cooking. This is my first one! This is my cleaning one all I have to do is find some material I like to add some pockets but here is the product so far :) My first sewing project.

This is how it looks. I am going to get some fabric that matches the blue lining for the pockets.

This is me modeling it :D

So far I really like it and am excited to finish it and make my cooking one which will be a different pattern and color.

Project 52 January

This year I am doing Project 52 which is 52 books in a year. So far I'm right on track! I am going to up date at the end of each month what I read so not to be quite so redundant. To finish off January I read:

The Expected One by Kathleen McGowan.

This book was semi Da Vinci Code like in that it is a religious based book about things that were suppose to have happened and the church has been hiding them. It's all about Mary Magdalene and her life and a woman that experiences a spiritual journey to find the lost gospels of Mary herself. It was pretty good if you like those thing and had some very visual and emotional parts if you are religious. Not as quick paced as I personally like but not bad either.
The Well and The Mine by Gin Phillips

This book I got from bookmooch.com last month and was super excited to read it. Someone had recommended it to me a while back so when I finally got it after months of waiting I was thrilled. This book is set back in the late 1920's to early 1930's and shows the every day life of a family and the town they live in during these hard times. It's a pretty good coming of age book that gets you intrigued about a mysterious woman that throws her baby down the families well on the first page. I enjoyed it and it was a relatively quick read.
Other than that not a whole lot has been going on just busting my butt at school and working.
I have been keeping up with my New Years resolutions pretty well with the exception of working out since I have been sick and injured. I have also slipped a few times on the no biting my nails but I am working on it. :)
Hope you all have a fabulous month!
