Gardening

So I have been trying to do this post for a while now but for some reason I couldn't get the pictures to work so here goes. Out at the Blevins house they have their gardens planted and they offered to let me have a little plot of land to have my own little garden.
So here it is the little plot in the back with the mail box is mine before it was planted.

When I first got to it there were TONS of weeds so after a long days work I pulled them all. This is said pile of weeds :PThe next weekend I planted a few things. We went to the Moscow farmers market and bought tomatoes and cucumbers, basil, and squash so here is my little garden planted. There are very pretty sunflowers growing behind it.Me all dirty from the days work.And my fantastic sunburn. I had sunscreen on but not well enough. You can see my hand prints from where I was trying to get my neck.On the way home I took a few pictures of the drive from Deary to Moscow. Here is the Deary library.And this is a Canola field. I think they are so pretty.
This is the flower up close. They are used to make canola oil if you hadn't already guessed :PThat concludes my little gardening adventure for the time being.

LA

So I went to LA for almost a week this summer. Here is a quick summary of what I did.

Rental car! A pretty Nissan Versa.


Drove to my Aunt Suzy and uncle Micheal's house where I stayed. (Thank You again guys!)The next day we went to La Brea tar pits. Below is a picture of the tar bubbling up from the ground.

MMM Fondue!

So when Triniti was moving in with me and I was helping her move her stuff I saw this really cool fondue pot that her ex had and told her how cool it was. Well the sweetheart that she is she saw one just like it at a yard sale and bought it for me. So yesterday I decided to use my DS game personal cooking trainer and make fondue! Btw this is a pretty cool game if you have a DS. So first here is a picture of my cool fondue pot.
There is the YUMMY cheese that I made in it.
I cut up a baggette and dipped it in so here is a nice cheesey baggette.

On the topic of Triniti while I was visiting here she took me to Hobby Lobby. This is a HUGE craft store that I am in love with so here is a picture I took of it.
You can't really see how long it is but its like Costco for crafts.

Mom's Birthday, dagrons, and new project!

Today is my wonderful mothers birthday. I am so grateful for her. She does so much for everyone and is an all around great person. I know everyone thinks their mom is great but mine really is she works so hard to make sure everyone is taken care of. I just would like to wish her a very happy 21st again birthday.

On to my ramblings :P
This is my newest little buddy Char. Ggot him on the 7th and he is the cutest thing.
This is him chilling on his rock with his dinner. He loves people so as soon as he hear me coming with the camera he turned around and looked so I could get a picture.
This is him compared to my hand. He is 7 inches including tail which is like half of him. He is incredibly sweet. When we go to feed him he gets excited about seeing us so he gets distracted and it takes him a bit to eat.

So my new project! I decided it would be a good time to redo the really ugly hand me down coffee table. So... Here is the before shot.

Like I said its really ugly and pretty tore up but after a million hours of sanding I got it pretty well stripped. (FYI sanding by hand SUCKS)
This is the top of the table. Just that part alone took around 4 hours of straight sanding :(
So I have it restained and it looks tons better. I have to wait a few days for it to dry then I will varnish it and wait for that to dry but I will post pictures when its all done.

Because it was a little cold out side I sanded in the house and got sawdust EVERYWHERE!
This afternoon I went through and cleaned it all up. It got the first really good vacuuming since we moved in because our old vacuum sucked (Thank you Carla for the vacuum!).
So this is the living room now. Coffee tableless but very clean!

Rocking the knobs

So a few months ago I was looking for a coat rack for my apartment so the coats aren't constantly consuming the little couch. I didn't find anything I liked :( While I was in Montana for spring break we went to Hobby Lobby (I am moving to that store) and I got some really cool door knobs. I decided to make my own coat rack! I started with a shelf I got at Micheals. From there I drilled holes in it (nobody should ever let me have power tools).

This is after I had drilled the holes and I am making sure the knobs fit the holes.
Then I changed into very flattering sweats to stain it. The other one is one I got before I decided to make my own. I didn't like it very well but I am going to hang it up below this one and use it for my purse and backpack.
This is the finished stain.
And finally with the knobs in! Now I just have to go buy a stud finder and hanging things for the back and I will be ready to hang it up! I will post a picture when I get them hung.

I was pretty proud of this little project.

Forever!

Ok so its been like a month since I last posted so here goes with my last month update. So I had spring break a few weeks ago which was a lot of fun. I drove a TON below is the route I took F is Moscow where I started out C is Rupert D is Dillion where Trent lives and E is Billings where Triniti lives. It was a total of 32 hours in the car 1,798 miles. I am amazed my car made it. The only problem I had was my front window fell down and wouldn't stay up just like my back drivers side window. Thanks to Triniti's step dad Ken there is now a piece of wood shoved in it so it will stay up.
First I went home and visited my family which was tons of fun. We went out to eat and played a lot of Wii fit (I can't wait to get mine). Then I headed out. I stopped in Dillion Mt to visit Trent and see where he is going to school. I was surprised by the town and the campus. The Campus is way small and the town is bigger than Moscow. We ate lunch at a place called Papa Ts I think was the name and it was pretty good. Then I continued east and drove to Billing to go see Triniti! We went all over Billings. I only spent 1 day there but in that day we went to the Jade Palace which is a place Trin works and ate there. Went to the University of Montana Campus, to visit her great granny, to HOBBY LOBBY which is my new favorite store. We went repelling with her rock climbing class which was one of the scariest things I have ever done. To Walkers for dinner (another place she works) then to her friend Chelsey's to go hot tubing. It was a really long day but tons of fun. I had never really been to Montana before only to Yellowstone so it was a fun experience, its a very pretty drive.


Recently we decided to get a bearded dragon. After much hunting we finally found our newest addition to the family Char. We will be getting him next week. I will post more pictures when he gets here. He is coming from Portland on Monday.

In sadder news Mildred my hamster died on the 31st. She had some internal problems and passed away :(
I also have Strep throat right now so I have been at home all week trying to get better.
Hopefully all is going well with everyone.
