Winter Carnival

My mom also plans a girls trip every year and this year she was going to McCall but everyone ditched out on her so I went down and met my mom and Kody in McCall.

Before I left though I made this fabulous baked fried chicken courtesy of my Aunt Suzy. It was delicious!
and hung out with the lizard :D
Unfortunately this year was a really warm year so by the time we got to McCall most of the snow was melting and the statues had been smashed down by people climbing on them but we did get a few good pictures.
This first one is just some random yard where they had made a bunch of snowmen and decorated them all differently.
Here is one that was in the park not really sure what he is I think he is a monster peeking over something.
And one of my favorites the Numbers.
We went to dinner at Steamers again and while we were there we took pictures. Mom and Kody couldn't quite get theirs right so here is the best one.

After dinner we went back to our cabin, Mom's friend Jane came over and we played Phase 10 till finally after hours Kody beat us.
The next morning we went to The Pancake house for breakfast and they had the Mardi gras tree still up so here it is.
I had to take a picture of the boys room sign because I thought it was funny. I couldn't get a picture of the girls one because there were tons of people standing in front of it but it was hilarious as well.
Then headed home :)

Exciting month and lots of food!

Its been a very exciting month here. First school started I am in a genetics class I know nothing about but am hoping I will be able to keep my head above water and pass the class.

I got glasses 2 weeks ago which I have already broken and had to send to Boise to get them repaired.

Had little party at our house drinking and playing settlers.

I made bread. Cranberry Orange bread.
My Raviolis with sauce I know it doesn't look too horribly appetizing but they are delicious.
Super Yummy black bean soup. I don't own a pot large enough to make it in 1 pot so it got split up into 3 which was good because I was able to have mine made without ham in it.

I made yummy honey-ginger teriyaki chicken with seared pineapple its super yummy.

And we went to the winter farmers market and got CUPCAKES!!!!! <3 onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_txnwM9SaqUM/S0psFrXVVTI/AAAAAAAAAyc/B7xhQ5GY4xY/s1600-h/IMG_0253.JPG">For new years I made a resolution to keep the house cleaner and I found a website that has been helping me do just that called Flylady I have been following her steps for a week now and have been cleaning a little at a time and our house is looking great.
A few months ago I made this brush holder for my makeup brushes.
It rolls up to look like this.
So while going through my house and cleaning I keep finding stray earrings, I decided to take care of this by using left over materials from my brush holder and card board and came up with this.
My handy earring holder which I hung on the wall in the bathroom next to my sink. Now when I find earrings I can come hang them up till I find the match :)

Christmas pt 1

First here is the Christmas tree! It was too tall to fit the angel on top so my mom put it in the middle.
Here is everyone opening presents Christmas morning.

Mom made these puffs filled with Chorizo egg and cheese. They were Super good.
Christmas night my mom made a whole turkey dinner but I forgot to get a picture of it so here is the next nights dinner.

We played my games I got for Christmas a lot while we were down.It was a lot of fun we went and saw Melissa and James. Shauna came over and played games with us too.

Limoncello!

Months ago a gal I know was talking about her mom making limoncello and I had never heard of this This is a very good lemony alcohol thats made with lemon peels and vodka. It sits for 80 days before its done so here is what we came out with.
This is while I was bottling it .

It made an excellent christmas present for everyone and I love the bottles I got to bottle it in. :D

Char Lizard

My little guy is getting so big!

When I got char he was such a little guy and now he is a foot and a half long!

I just thought I would post a few pictures of him. This first one is a few months ago this is how big he has gotten!

Getting behind

I know its been a while since I posted last but things have been a bit crazy trying to find a new apartment and this semester ending, trying to find new classes for next semester, Thanksgiving and of course getting older.

So here is what all has happened. My birthday was on thanksgiving this year. I spent Thanksgiving in Boise at Ken and Wendy's. Drove down Wednesday (char is not a fan of the car) and got there at around 6, ate dinner at the Indian place and then went to The Red Feather for drinks with friends for my birthday. Then to Pie hole of course :P

The Next day was spent cooking and getting ready. I had my first experience with polishing silver. Then we had dinner. It was very good. We had about 12 people for dinner so it was a lot of fun to talk to everyone.

Then the next day drove to Rupert to do Thanksgiving with my family. As usual it was great.

The only sad part is my sweet little Kiarra went missing a few days before we got down there and has been missing ever since. :'(

I hope she is ok but the odds aren't good. Keep her in your prayers.

Melissa!

I just wanted to say Happy birthday to one of my dearest and oldest friends Melissa.
We have known each other since kindergarten and through thick and thin I have always known if I needed her she would be there. So I hope you have a wonderful birthday!

Our 18th birthday

Seattle weekend 2 and Halloween

So I am finally getting my butt in gear and am going to get this post done!
Anyways I went back to Seattle the next weekend for Halloween. While driving through snoqualmie I hit snow and rain and it was just not a fun drive.
That night I went to this little Italian place Tropea and it was amazing they had such good food! I thought I was going to burst when I left. The next day I went over to Zipper and got to go in and see all the little kids of the people who work there. They give the kids candy and the kids walk around to the different places so the employees can say trick or treat and the kids give them candy.
Unfortunately these pictures won't be all that great because I lost the charger to the camera so I had to take all of these from the phone.
The Next morning moved hotels and moved into the Marriott right across the street from the ocean! This is the view from the balcony of the room.
This is the HUGE COMFY bed that I love because no place is better than bed :P

This was the view from the table.
The amazing food.
Then went over to the Aquarium that was right down the pier from the hotel.
They had pumpkins in the exhibits so I got a picture of one with a starfish on it.
The fish were really cool. Went at feeding time so I got to watch them feed the petting pool and the otters. I got a video but its hard to see much because of the sun :(
Then we went to Pikes market that was right behind the hotel.
Finally went back to our room for a bit to rest. We went to Sushi for dinner with our friend Justin came into town and Bill who lives in Seattle.
Then we got ready for the party! It was lots of fun here is a robot at the party dancing.


The next day as I was checking out to drive home I got a picture of the glass art in the lobby because it was really cool.
And that was Seattle weekend 2.
