So I know I am really late posting these but I just got them off the camera so here we go.

A new twist on an old favorite.

So I was reading the New York Times the other day and most of the things in it are irrelevant to me because well they are in New York and I am not. But I came across something on the foods pages of it. There is a peanut butter sandwich restaurant in New York! They have all kinds of really weird sounding sandwiches but some of them sound very tasty. Check out their website.

Driving to Moscow.

I drive to Moscow a lot and I have always found the drive very beautiful so I thought I would share a few pictures I have taken on our trips.

Hammys!

So for Christmas last year I got 2 dwarf hamsters. One of them got sick and died a few months later. I had a hard time finding another little friend for mine. I just happened to go the the pet store one day looking for new shells for my hermit crabs and amazingly enough they had dwarf hamsters! I bought one to be friends with the one I had, I told the guy at the pet store to make sure she was a girl because I didn't want babies so he double checked. When I got home I found out hamsters are very territorial. Because I only had 1 cage I had to improvise to find somewhere for the hamster to live since my original one Siggy and it didn't get along. I ended up using one of the plastic drawers in a little plastic dresser thing we have. I came home one day and went about feeding and watering the animals and noticed the bedding moving in the drawer. The pet store had given me a girl but she was pregnant and we didn't find out till she had the babies.

All together she had 8 of them. Needless to say for about 4 months I had mass amounts of hamsters. Unfortunaly hamster will start breeding again about 4 weeks after they are born so I had to go get another cage to seperate the boys from the girls. so at this point 2 of the babies had passed so we had 8 left the mom, Siggy and 6 babies. Luckly I found a good home for all of them except two. I kept one and gave one to my friend Melissa.

Mine is the little grey one munching on the top of the chip. Melissas is the white and grey one next to it.

Adventures in Cooking!

I have been cooking a lot recently and buying new cookbooks going through them and making what ever looks yummy. Here are a few of my masterpieces!

First off Moroccan Chicken Pot Pie!
This is a really yummy and easy recipe.


Next is Chicken and Orzo soup.

This is a really good Chicken noodle soup with lots of veggies in it. I couldn't find orzo pasta so we used regular twisty pasta but it was really good.
This is a picture of it and the cookbook I got the recipe out of and some really good roasted bell pepper bread fresh from the co-op.Next is Frittata.


And finally with my New crockpot I got for Christmas we made BBQ beef.

Tahoe

Ok so I finally decided not to be lazy and get the pictures from FOREVER off the camera. So here we go! First off Tahoe! We had a great week long vacation in Tahoe thanks to our friend Jeff and his family.
This is Justin having fun on the first beach we went to. I was working inside all summer so I was really white and we went to this beach for maybe half an hour and I had a jacket on with long short sleeves if that makes any sense, anyways I got horribly burn that first day and in some of the pictures you can see it kind of on my arms.

This is the condos we stayed at and they were awesome we spent time in the hot tubs every day, cooked yummy food every night, and spent a lot of time with good friends :)
This is the hot tub and I have decided when I have a house it will have a hot tub and I will spend time in it when ever I can. They are great for stress relief.

We went and visited the town quite a bit and I got to have Coldstone! This is a really cool fountain that was at a really awesome art musium that we stopped by and walked around inside.We ate at a little bar and grill near our condos the Fox and the hound I think and these are a few pictures of there.

I thought was funny because we were watching the olympics on the tv there and I got Katie and Riley looking very interested.


This last one is one of on our drive home. There is a little town named Rome on the way and all it had in it was a gas station which is pictured.
As for the rest I think I will post them all tomorrow.

So Behind

So I have been so busy and forgetful that I haven't done this in a while so I thought I would update real quick.

On November 26th I turned 23 :( I absolutely hate getting older. I really do not look forward to my birthday at all. i went home and saw my fam for thanksgiving as posted below.

Between Thanksgiving and Christmas I am not sure where time went it seemed like it went so fast. I went home for Christmas hitching a ride with Andy! My mom picked me up in Twin, we went and had dinner and then drove home for the most part it snowed the whole time and was crappy weather which was a blessing and a curse. I really am not the fondest person of driving in the snow.

The 22nd I was suppose to have my wisdom teeth pulled but it snowed way way too much that night so it was canceled which I was thrilled about because I was nervous about getting my teeth pulled. Unfortunately they had an appointment the next day. So 2 days before Christmas i got my teeth pulled. It didn't go very well apparently my body reacts badly to the anesthesia so I got really sick after having them pulled. I slept most of the first day and wasn't able to eat without getting sick for the next 2 days but I was determined to eat Christmas dinner and I did. Well not really I got to eat mashed potatoes but they were wonderful. By the next day I was able to eat everything again.

We got up at about 7 Christmas morning and opened presents I got a really nifty little heater for our apartment and a HUGE crock pot. At 8 both my parents had to go to work which sucked.
My mom asked me to run to my grandmothers house to get something and on my way there the truck I was driving ran out of gas :( my brother had to come get me and we had to go get gas. This was a horrible drive. I didn't feel good because of the medication i was on from my teeth and the roads were drifted really badly. But luckily everything worked out and my parents were both able to be home for Christmas dinner. My grandpa eve flew in from Yuma Az to be with us :)
The drive back to Moscow was ok except for many crashes on the way. When we got home we were surprised to find that the snow plow had been plowing into our parkign spot so we had to get a shovel and shovel it out.

New years we went over to our friend Pat's house to celebrate. For Christmas he had gotten a huge 52" tv so we watched a bunch of blueray movies in high def it was pretty cool.

Well I better get back to getting things cleaned up before I go back to work. So have a nice day everyone :D

Home again

So Thanksgiving at home was fun I drove down on Tuesday and stayed the night in Boise. The next morning the 26th which happens to be my birthday I drove to Rupert and got to go on a tour of the High Dessert milk plant where they make dried milk in 3200lb bags. It was pretty cool one of the dryers we went up to was around 150 degrees in the room! it was pretty cool I got to meet all the people my mom works with and see all the people I already knew that had worked at Kraft. Then I went and got my hair cut I will post a picture later when I have a good one. Thanksgiving was really relaxed we sat at home and ate great food. The next day I had a fantastic massage. Dee was great it was 3 hours of relaxing that I really needed. Then I drove to Twin and hung out up there for a bit. We went back to dinner at the Drift in
